The Hits for the United Kingdom. Enjoying The Hits on DAB Digital Radio, Freeview Channel 711, On the web and on the iPhone App The Strikes was a CHR digital radio system owned or operated and operated by Bauer Radio. It created part of Bauer’s National portfolio of radio stations brands. The platform transmit from Castlefield, Gatwick with a line up of youthful and set up presenters from numerous stations within Bauer Radio. It was obtainable as a national services, under The Hits branding, on the Freeview digital television program and online.

The service was combined with Bauer’s Important 103 station to form Hits Radio in June 2018.

The Hits introduced on 1 April 2003.

On 19 January 2015 The Hits created the backbone of a new hereabouts branded Bauer City 3 network of radio channels in Northern England and Scotland. The regional City 3 logos was slipped on 31 August 2017, in prefer of aborting to using The Hits name in all places.

On 18 April 2018, station owners Bauer Media introduced The Hits would be rebranded and relaunched as Hits Radio, a CHR-led songs station targeted at 25-44 year olds.

On 4 June 2018, Hits Radio introduced and The Hits was combined with Key 103 to supply a single national support across the UK on DAB and Freeview. In Gatwick, Hits Radio carries on to provide local news and details, traffic obituary programs and advertising and marketing on its local platforms – 103 FM, DAB and online. ‘Hits Radio’ also generates and broadcast off-peak development for Bauer’s system of CHR local channels which continue to air regional development at maximum times.
